Trans Siberian Tickets - AdviceWhen to book?We recommend booking your train tickets at least 8 weeks before departure to ensure that there are seats available and to have enough time to process visas in non-express manner; if you book from 8 to 4 weeks in advance and your travel commences in summer, the deadlines are acceptable but it will be rather difficult to find first class tickets; from 4 to 2 weeks in advance it is still possible to reserve the tickets, but during the high season (May to September) there are less chances and we cannot guarantee that we shall be able to buy the ticket you have selected. Certainly, we shall do our best to buy an alternative ticket of a similar category and price. In 2 weeks before the departure date the request may be processed with certain limitations, and should they apply your travel manager will send you detailed information once you send the request. In 1 week and less, with rare exceptions, the order cannot be processed. How to book?To book a one way, return or multi-leg train tickets please visit our section Trans Siberian Tickets or send a Train Ticket Request by fax at +1-800-304-3653.TimetableAttention! The timetable indicated on our pages is local one, and not Moscow one. On your tickets (with rare exceptions) Moscow time will be stated, as well as on other web and printed resources you might be using. We use local time in order to simplify your planning and give you real information for planning your trip in the best way. Here's information on time difference with major stops along the Trans-Siberian Railroad: Novosibirsk MT+3; Irkutsk MT+5; Khabarovsk MT+7; Vladivostok MT+7. Moscow time (MT) itself is GMT+3. China is 8 hours ahead of Greenwich, and this time difference is applicable on the territory of the whole country. How to read your train ticket? From left to right:number of train, date of departure, hour of departure, number of carriage, type of ticket; city of departure, city of arrival, type of train; place in train; number of passport/name of passenger in Russian; total price, time of arrival; Moscow time.
